Hmm...I want my own big, scary biker dude!

I was thrilled to get my hands on another installment of the Iron Bull MC series. I 'connected' to the author's writing style immediately and couldn't get enough of Dante's sexy, growly, dirty, bossy biker talk. The chemistry between Dante & Karina is so intense. Their passion is so H-O-T. But before I can get my fix, they need to actually be together, right? That's kinda hard to accomplish when Logan, aka Hemi, has kidnapped Dante's baby girl. I know there are secrets hiding behind his actions. Logan knows much more than he's sharing and I want answers.
At first I kinda thought this should be a second-chance-romance and Karina & Logan would reconnect. He was her childhood friend, her first-love. Maybe he would explain everything, she would forgive him, and they would get back together. Nah...he doesn't do it for me. I don't want that to happen. Me & Karina need our big, bad scary biker dude. Yup, I'm definitely Team Dante.

Don't get me wrong, I kinda dig some of the other Iron Bulls too. Romeo & Luck are probably gonna melt me into a puddle when I finally get to know them...intimately...later. That is gonna happen, right? I have my heart set on seeing Luck in action, being all dominant. I wonder if there's a dungeon in the clubhouse? Or, maybe, his room is decorated in red?

I'm enjoying the suspense as pieces of the puzzle gradually come together. However; at the same time, those answers create more questions. Karina is approaching graduation, but she's mentally already disconnected from her life before she met Dante. Other than her friendship with Athena, her BFF, she's ready to move on. And can I just say, I flove Athena? She's full of sass and funny as hell. I'd love to see her hook up with a Bull later on...once she's old enough. It's an exciting ride and I'm enjoying every second of it.

I loved book one in this series, though I hated the cliffhanger phoenyx proved it was well worth the wait. Disconnect also has a cliffhanger but don't let that discourage you because it only intensifies the absolute pleasure of each book.

My love for Karina only seems to grow, she's sweet & innocent but so very naughty. Her love & passion & desire to protect dante is played out on each and every page. The fear she experiences in this book just broke my heart & god the secret she revealed about why she wanted to hurt Logan in the beginning was gut wrenching. The betrayal, lies & secrets that came crashing down around Karina at the hands of her father was awful, I can't wait to read more about those in the next book.
Dante, I've loved that hot alpha, down right dirty man from the beginning but the level of emotions I felt from him in this book was amazing. It hurt that he felt like he let Karina down even though he didn't. I love how he struggled to tell Karina how he felt but words didn't matter because you could feel the love, you could see it in his actions and the way he protects her no matter what is beautiful.
What can I say about Luck that sexy dominant man is gonna get himself in trouble if he's not careful. I can't wait to see what may come of his forbidden desires and if "Daddys" gonna let his "Baby Girl" out to play ;)
And Romeo is one dirty old man..lol..who seems to be keeping alot of secrets.
Overall each book gets more amazing and I'll be on pins and needles waiting for the next!!! :)

Let's get our kinky f@ckery on! I'm not sure about y'all but after reading the first book Asunder, I have been waiting patiently for book two, Disconnect to publish. There were so many unanswered questions it was frustrating, but so worth it! Phoenyx Slaughter blows your mind again with a mild cliffhanger and I'm again left waiting for the next book in the series. But, don't let that deter you from reading this book because there is enough to satisfy you until November.

We are thrown into the Iron Bulls MC lifestyle and the story pickups with Dante searching for Karina who was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Logan/Hemi. Dante and Karina's relationship progresses and stronger feelings are developed. Even with the age difference they work. What began as revenge on her ex-boyfriend changed Karina's life. Dante is the enforcer for the MC and allowing someone to matter doesn't factor into his lifestyle, but Karina gets under his skin and all he can think about is his "little girl." Growing up by herself, Karina depended on her intelligence to survive and graduating high school to attend college is important to her, but so is Dante.

I really enjoyed the secondary characters and learning more about them. They play an important role and you begin to picture the various storylines the author is weaving. Hopefully, we will learn more about Romeo and Luck in books to come. I'm really excited about the next book and can't wait to read it. Another marvelous addition to my library!

She reveals the fraught social processes by which individuals and families produce and maintain a modern jihad, and she shows how Muslim refugees have forged an Islamic notion of rights—a hybrid of global political ideals that adopts the language of human rights and humanitarianism as a means to rethink refugees’ positions in transnational communities. Jihad is no longer seen as a collective fight for the sovereignty of the Islamic polity, but instead as a personal struggle to establish the security of Muslim bodies against political violence, torture, and rape. Robinson describes how this new understanding has contributed to the popularization of jihad in the Kashmir region, decentered religious institutions as regulators of jihad in practice, and turned the families of refugee youths into the ultimate mediators of entrance into militant organizations. This provocative book challenges the idea that extremism in modern Muslim societies is the natural by-product of a clash of civilizations, of a universal Islamist ideology, or of fundamentalist conversion.

This book was difficult to follow. It read as if the author had the expectation that people already knows what she is talking about or at least has a lot of background on it. It interchanges some terms between Arabic and English, which is understandable but became overdone and confusing. Not the best book for a low-level class but decent.

BEST neuroanatomy atlas

I have a large collection of neuroanatomy atlases, and I would call this book the best. and it is certainly on the top of them. Neuroanatomy is a complex enough subject, as i deals with very complex structures and mini-structures. I feel that 3d images are essential to have a good grasp of structure orientation, rather than just simply studying brain in slices. Studying slices is important, but i think 3D orietnation is more important and what summarizes different slices together to make sense. I think this is the main book that does this function with its beautiful and coloured diagrams. Unfortuantelly I do not have the accompanying CD.

I have finished all anatomy including neuro last year. Netter is still good but doesnt have any cross sections of brain
this book has all different kind of cut sections but actually missing pictures as whole brain.
all those gyri and sulci i had to use other books.
Heard Sobotta is pretty good as well with all the pictures they have

About the Author
Dr. Wiesel received his B.S. degree in astronomy from the University of Massachusetts in 1970, and his Ph.D. in stronomy from Harvard University in 1974. His early experience included tracking satellites with what is now Space Command in the U.S. Air Force, and software development for satellite tracking. He has published numerous technical papers in solar system astronomy, optimal orbit transfer, control of periodic systems, and dynamical systems theory. His current interests center about applying dynamical systems theory to orbital mechanics.

A nice overview

I used this to get a little more background on the statistical nature of determining and predicting the location of objects that are ballistic. I work in missile defense, and this book does apply well to my field.

I would have liked it to include more realistic examples to be worked through. Show me how the covariance is exactly calculated by working through the math once. Otherwise you might need to refresh yourself on some linear algebra and statistics.
